Hi. I'm Nolan, and unlike my friend strat, I believe that a bit of style in a website doesn't hurt. That time display is just a clock, by the way. It's not a stopwatch, I just thought the millisecond display looked cool.

Hey! My name is Nolan Stone, and I am a software developer, electrical engineering hobbyist, and avid Linux user (as you could probably tell). My official major is Computer and Information Science and I personally believe that I fit the bill for the descriptor of "nerd" very well.

My programming experience spans over half a decade plus multiple languages and frameworks. Mainly, I am work-proficient in Java, C#, Python, Javascript, Lua, HTML, CSS, and SQL, as well as having extensive experience with such frameworks and libraries as Matter.js, p5.js, GSAP, Bootstrap, Godot, Docker, Podman, and many more that I can't remember at the moment.

When I was younger and had just discovered programming, I decided that I was going to be a purely frontend developer with a little backend here and there. I then stuck to this idea for around five years, which largely resulted in several major burnouts over the course of that time. Recently, however, I decided to branch out a little and try writing backend for once. I did backend on several of my larger projects, and the outcome of this was the discovery that I was far better at backend than frontend (plus, I enjoyed it much more!). Nowadays, I am comfortable calling myself a full-stack developer, because five years of programming in any language will result in a net increase of skill regardless of whether it is enjoyable or not.
